Why We’re Here

We’re reviving – and improving – a crop our country’s founders planted.

Saluna unites a group of experienced agricultural researchers and entrepreneurs who passionately believe that Midwestern growers need more planting choices than they currently have. We are applying modern technology to a legacy crop; Industrial Hemp from Saluna delivers innovation and reliability.

Saluna works with farmers for a better ROI for oil seed crops, an improved nutritional profile for the end user, and better soil health. Industrial Hemp from Saluna is targeted to reduce THC to levels below 0.3%, making it a competitive alternative in the oil and feed markets.

Our Mission

To deliver innovative solutions to agricultural entrepreneurs looking for competitive alternatives to row crops.

Our Vision

Saluna is the trusted source of high-quality seeds for agricultural entrepreneurs looking to diversify their crops and improve productivity.

Our Values

We are, and will always be, a trusted source for high-quality seeds.

Every member of the Saluna team has devoted their professional life to improving productivity for American growers.

We are a group of agricultural innovators committed to harnessing technology to benefit American growers.

Benefits of Hemp

Industrial Hemp offers it all

It’s one of the only crops that offers economic value for every part of the plant: fuel, feed, fiber. It is a robust crop that is highly competitive against weeds and very hardy against environmental stresses and pest pressure. Hemp also requires very limited modifications to existing row crop equipment, resulting in an incredibly low transition cost for growers, no matter the acreage.

Saluna revolution!

How it all started

The notion of industrial hemp as a competitive alternative to corn and soybeans began as an observation by two seasoned agricultural entrepreneurs sitting on a tailgate in southern Missouri. It was late summer, and ducks were beginning to head south. As the men watched, a flock of ducks deliberately descended into a vast field of hemp to feed on the ripened seeds. The concept of hemp as a new broad acre row crop was born.
The idea quickly blossomed. Leveraging the vast plant science resources centered in St. Louis, experienced agricultural investment groups BioGenerator and Hermann Companies led the formation of Saluna in December 2023.
A team of agricultural researchers swiftly crystallized and by spring of 2024, Saluna had launched a robust crop development program with a strong belief we can literally change the landscape currently dominated by corn and soybeans.
